Nashville, TN – In a Fox 17 News Waste Watch investigation, billions of our tax dollars spent to start up CO-OPs under Obamacare and now these CO-OPs are closing their doors!

That leaves almost 80,000 people in Tennessee and Kentucky searching for new healthcare plans.
$2.4-billion of our tax dollars have been have been used in start-up loans to 23 CO-OPs across the country in 2013.

These CO-OPs are non-profit health insurance companies, offering Consumer Oriented and Operated Plans created under Obamacare to give more choices and competition in the health insurance marketplace.

But by 2016, about half of the 23 CO-OPs will be gone and the future for those still open right now is not looking good.
