NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A mother was arrested early Sunday morning after her 2-year-old son was found unresponsive while outside in near-freezing temperatures.

According to Metro Police, a worker at an Exxon gas station called police around 11:30 p.m Saturday night after seeing 39-year-old Lakeshia Bean get out of a car near the intersection of Brick Church Pike and W. Trinity Lane.

According to an arrest warrant, she was in the street pushing a stroller with a baby. When police responded to the scene she was no longer there, but officers spotted her about an hour later, still pushing the stroller with her 2-year-old son inside.

She appeared intoxicated and was exposing part of herself, according to officers. Officers said her son was wearing a lightweight jacket and only one shoe.

He reportedly was unresponsive, and his hands, feet, and face were cold.

He was taken to the hospital and his condition was not immediately known.

Bean has been charged with aggravated child endangerment, public indecency, and public intoxication.

Her bond was set at $36,000. She is due in court on November 25.
