BROWARD COUNTY, FL.– A Clarksville child psychologist has been arrested in Broward County, Florida on 25 counts of child pornography and one count of using a computer to Compile Child Pornography.
According to police, Richard Pitcock was captured through an investigation by a South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force working with a Broward County Detective. Investigators found an IP address being used for advertising and sharing child pornography images. The IP address was traced back to various hotels and motels. One IP address advertising child porn was found to be assigned at the St. Maurice Hotel in Hollywood, Florida.
Police served a warrant yesterday at the hotel room where the address was being used. Although empty at the time, police found Pitcock’s property and identification inside. When he returned to the room and was confronted by police, police arrested him.
Police say Pitcock stated he downloads things from the internet but deletes the “ugly” items.
Pitcock’s practice is located in Clarksville on 286A Clear Sky Court. His Psychology Today profile states his client focus are toddlers/preschoolers and teens faced with learning disabilities such as ADHD.
