TAZEWELL, TN (WSMV) –
The father of country music star Kenny Chesney was arrested on a golf course in East Tennessee on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the police report, Dave Chesney hit a man several times on the right side of his face and hit him in the left arm with a golf club in Tazewell, TN.
Chesney allegedly knocked the victim’s sunglasses off his face and “stomped” them with his foot.
Chesney was taken to the in Claiborne County jail and is charged with aggravated assault and vandalism.
