MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man wanted by the U.S. Secret Service was arrested on Interstate 24 in Rutherford County Monday.

The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office reported Kyandre Banks, 26, of Lilburn, Georgia, was taken into custody by their interstate crime enforcement unit while driving on I-24 during a traffic stop.

Banks reportedly had several fugitive warrants for his arrest issued by the U.S. Secret Service in Boise, Idaho. He was previously indicted on charges of identity theft, wire fraud and conspiracy.

Banks had been on the run for more than a year.

“The group that he was indicted with is alleged to have committed over $2 million in fraudulent purchases,” Sgt. Applegate with the Rutherford County ICE unitreported.

Deputies searched Banks’ vehicle and found a laptop computer, a card scanning device and dozens of gift cards, according to the sergeant.

Deputies reportedly found receipts showing purchase in Kentucky and Murfreesboro for multiple gift cards at Kroger’s stores.
