MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Murfreesboro man was arrested by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Thursday morning after they say he downloaded child porn.

Authorities began investigating Mark Neal in June after they were alerted by the Knoxville Police Department.

During the investigation, Neal’s Murfreesboro home was searched and they found he used a peer-to-peer network to download files containing child porn.

They say the 55-year-old later attempted to get rid of the evidence.

He’s been charged with one count of aggravated exploitation of a minor and one count of tampering with evidence.

He was booked into the Rutherford County jail on $60,000 bond.
