CLEVELAND, Tenn.– The TBI is investigating an officer shooting after a man attacked a female deputy at her home.
According to police, the deputy was returning home during her lunch break and noticed a person at the home. The suspect strangled the deputy and she was forced to use her stun gun. When that did not work, she fired her weapon, killing the suspect.
The 28-year-old is a 2 year veteran of the force. It is unknown if the suspect was there to specifically attack the deputy or if she stumbled upon a crime at the time of the assault.
