GALLATIN, Tenn. (WKRN) – Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the woman who reportedly stole more than $500 from a wallet found at a Gallatin gas station.
It happened around 8:45 a.m. Monday at the Station Camp Market on Long Hollow Pike.
Police said the suspect entered the store and picked up a wallet that had been dropped on the floor by another customer and removed $522 cash.
According to police, the suspect then used $2 to purchase a bag of chips and pocketed the remaining $520 before exiting the store and discarding the wallet near the gas pumps.
The woman left in a white SUV, possibly a Jeep, that was driven by a male.
