ST. LOUIS (AP) – St. Louis police say an armed suspect was shot and killed by two officers while they were serving a search warrant at a home.

St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson says two suspects fled from the home about noon Wednesday on the city’s north side before one of the men turned and pointed a handgun at the officers, who shot the man.

Dotson says the wounded suspect died at the scene. He was a black man described as being in his early 20s. Authorities are searching for the second suspect.

A second suspect in his teens managed to escape and is still at large.
No officers were injured. Their races were not disclosed.

Dotson said four guns, including the handgun wielded by the dead suspect, and crack cocaine were recovered at the scene.

A man and woman who were inside the home were arrested.
