HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 65-year-old man was shot and killed while playing cards with his grandson inside his Henry County home Friday night.

It happened at a residence in the 13000 block of Highway 79 North in Buchanan, Tennessee around 7:30 p.m.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office reported grandfather Jacky Ford was killed by a white male wearing a ski mask who walked up to him and his 11-year-old grandson while they were playing a card game.

The gunman reportedly called Ford by name and fatally shot him as he looked up to see who it was.

Ford’s grandson was able to give a description of the suspect. He is described as a white male, between 5 feet 9 inches tall and 6 feet, in his late ‘30s, thin, wearing a sleeveless gray shirt with white writing on the back and blue ski mask.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may have been in the area and saw anything out of the ordinary to contact authorities at 731-642-1672 or 731-642-0929.

Sheriff Monte Belew is offering a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest in this case.
