NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A news and opinion website found Tennessee to be the 10th most dangerous state to drive in.

25/7 Wall St. says fatal accidents on the roads are much more common in Tennessee with 15.3 deaths per 100,000 people.

The nation’s rate as a whole is 10.3 deaths per 100,000 people.

The website also says while there are an average of 1.11 deaths on American roadways for every 100 million vehicle miles traveled, there are 1.41 deaths in Tennessee for every 100 million vehicle miles.

To create their list, 24.7 Wall St. reviewed state-by-state fatality data as well as urban and rural travel data for 2013.
