NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — After a fairly mild winter, the first snowflakes of 2016 dusted Middle Tennessee overnight.

It was the most snow the area has seen so far this season.

Though the city itself saw no accumulation, some areas north and west of Nashville saw up to a half an inch of snow on the ground.

Cars, rooftops and grass in Clarksville had a coating of white, but the roads remained clear.

Temperatures have hovered in the 20’s through most of the day across Middle Tennessee with a wind chill in the teens.

In Clarksville, the wind chill made it feel like single digit temperatures.
