NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Tennessee Department of Transportation is holding a job fair Friday to hire more operations technicians.

Operation technicians, or op techs, “serve as the front line of defense in keeping Tennessee roads safe and moving every day.”

TDOT said op techs take on challenges in an ever-changing outdoor work environment.

The department is hiring in both Davidson and Williamson counties. Requirements include having a high school diploma or GED equivalent as well as a valid driver’s license.

TDOT’s benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement options, paid sick and annual leave, among others.

The fair will be held Friday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the TDOT Region 3 Complex located at 6601 Centennial Boulevard, Building A.
