UPDATE: Two suspects arrested in White House Fugitive search

WHITE HOUSE, Tenn.(Kells Johnson)—-The U.S. Marshals Service confirms that they have arrested two associates of Floyd Ray Cook overnight.
Officers say they spotted a car near White House that they believed was associated with fugitive Floyd Ray Cook.

When officers approached the car, Katy McCarty and Troy Wayne were inside.

The duo allegedly sped off, hitting two patrol cars and nearly hitting a U.S. Marshal.

The U.S. Marshal fired shots back in defense, but no one was injured.

Police say McCarty & Wayne drove off, crashed into a ravine about three miles away, and got out and started running.

Metro Police, the U.S. Marshals Service, FBI, THP, Robertson Co. Sheriff’s office, Sumner Co. Sheriff’s office, and several other agencies assisted in the search for McCarty and Wayne.

Hours later, the two were caught and taken into custody.

They are believed to be associated of Floyd Ray Cook.

The search for Cook is still ongoing, and police say he is considered armed and dangerous.

If anyone sees Cook or knows of his whereabouts, they are urged to contact police.

Miller said they believe either Floyd Cook or Troy Wayne is on the run in White House.

On Wednesday night, the suspects allegedly shot at law enforcement. It’s not clear if law enforcement returned fire. No one was reported injured.

Tonight, officers captured Katie Mccarty. Lt. Miller said she is Troy Wayne’s girlfriend. She was found hiding in the mud in a field.  Lt. Miller said both Mccarty and Wayne were in the car when Cook allegedly shot an Algood officer during a traffic stop Saturday.

Several agencies are at a command post set up at the Shell on Highway 76 just off of I-65 in White House Wednesday night. Helicopters and canines aided in the search.
