NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – President Barack Obama is asking Congress for nearly $2 billion in emergency funding to fight the Zika virus.
Some of that money will go toward developing a vaccine for the mosquito-borne virus, and Vanderbilt University is one of the places working on that vaccine.
