CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WKRN) – The FBI said in a press release Saturday evening about the Chattanooga shooting rampage, investigators said they planned to wrap up their investigation late Saturday night at the military recruitment center on Lee Highway where the first shooting took place Thursday.

However, early Sunday morning crime scene tape was still in place. An FBI truck and Hamilton County sheriffs deputies’ cars remained at the site.

Residents have gathered at the initial attack site to mourn those who died at makeshift memorials outside the  military recruitment center where the gunman opened fire.

FBI officials say the scene of the second shooting located at the Navy Operational Support and Marine Reserve Center on Amnicola Highway would take longer to process.

It was there that five servicemen suffered fatal shooting injuries. The shooter, Muhammad Abdulazeez also died there.

The community foundation of Chattanooga has set up a fund to support the families of the victims.
