CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) –Police are searching for a nonviolent inmate who walked away from a work detail in Clarksville on Friday.
Christopher Alan Poore, 21, was serving time for theft of property and criminal trespass.
Poore escaped in the Woodlawn area, west of Purple Heart Parkway. Deputies are searching the area of Highway 79/Dover Road between Lylewood Road and Lake Road. K-9s have been called in to help.
Woodlawn Elementary and Liberty Elementary have been placed on precautionary lockdown as the search continues.
Poore is a white male who is 6’0″ with short blonde hair and brown eyes. Deputies have found his orange work detail uniform.
If you see Poore, you are asked to call 911 immediately.
