LAWRENCE COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – Powerful storms swept through Lawrence County Wednesday night, causing extensive damage.
At least 50 trees were uprooted, five roofs were partially or completely damaged, a large barn was destroyed, and power lines went down.
Cindy Wilhoite’s home was one of the ones that was damaged.
“We were in the bathroom and we have no windows in there and we locked ourselves in there with the dogs,” said Wilhoite.
“We just heard a horrible noise come over and when we came out, the whole back of our house was gone.”
