MANASSAS, Va. (WJLA) — Prince William County Police arrested 24-year-old Sarra Quali on charges of felony child neglect Tuesday.
On Aug. 18 at approximately 7:47 a.m., police responded to the 13900 block of Dumfries Road in Manassas for a report of child neglect. The caller, who lives in the home, told police that Quali left her child inside a lower-level apartment alone.
Upon entering the residence, police found an 18-month-old child buckled into a car seat near a bed inside a bedroom. The child was not injured and was placed into the custody of another family member, according to police.
Quali finally returned home around noon and was met by police. After revealing she had left the home around 6 a.m. that morning, officers took Quali into custody.
She is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 8.
