Possible burglary at Nashville Gun Shop in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Police investigated a possible burglary at gun store in south Nashville early Tuesday morning.

They arrived at the Nashville Gun Shop in the 1200 block of Antioch Pike around 5 a.m.

The First Alert Unit was at the scene when officers had their guns drawn while trying to determine if anyone was still inside the building.

Police on scene said a fence surrounds the building and the suspects breached it, alerting the owners who contacted police.

Two people dressed in black were reportedly seen walking in front of the store on surveillance cameras.

Officers who responded to a different call nearby arrived quickly, and K9 officers were called in to track the suspects, but they weren’t found.

Officers said the store was broken into last fall when a truck backed up through the front doors and the burglars got away with several weapons. Since then, the owners upgraded their security system.

After searching the area, police told News 2 it didn’t appear the suspects made it inside the building, probably because officers responded so quickly.
