Police are searching for multiple suspects involved in two robberies on Donelson Pike.
The two robberies are believed to be connected and happened just feet from one another.
The first robbery happened at Subway around 9:30 p.m. Two men armed with a black semi-automatic handgun entered the business and demanded money.
The clerk opened the register, and one of the men grabbed the money. As they were leaving, they robbed a customer before getting in a car and going across the street to the Shell gas station.
Three men went into the gas station and demanded money at gunpoint, forcing the clerk to open the register. One of the men fired his handgun, which hit the clerk in the leg.
The clerk was taken to the hospital. There is no word on his or her condition.
